Temecula Wine on Memorial day

Memorial Day offered itself for a nice day trip to Temecula. We arrived there around 2pm (didn't want to get drunk earlier) and stopped by at Hart Family Winery. A respectable Syrah and Cabernet franc remained in my memory. Next we stopped by at Stuart Cellars. Compared to the more family like atmosphere Hart winery, Stuart Cellars demonstrated a more business oriented atmosphere. The palate started to get overused, the alcohol level increased and the mood turned into more cheerful. If I remember right, the Sangiovese was not too bad. Finishing up the winetasting experience at Mount Palomar Winery with an interesting Port wine and a good Pizza to prevent complete drunkness we were getting exhausted of so much wine. Overall, we had a nice day with very pleasant company. So if y0u want to do a nice day trip, get out of San Diego with friends and enjoy a sunny day, Temecula is worth a trip. If you want to drink exceptional wines, eat good food, don't want to drive to far and still enjoy nice company, I recommend to go to a wine tasting at WineSellar & Brasserie (http://www.winesellar.com).

Have a nice evening!

Daily Chess Puzzle

OK, I noticed that I am too lazy to keep blogging and that my rhythm is more or less like Santi's.
As well, I changed the name of the blog since I thought it was bs that I'll write in German or Serbian too (especially with my tempo). So to keep it short, here a link of a nice chess puzzle site for all of you who enjoy playing chess.

New Website

I thought that in most cases I don't really know what type of science friends in my surroundings are doing since we hardly talk about science. I finished our lab website recently and thought I just might post the link here so at least everybody who is interested can check out what kind of science is done in our lab. Here it is:

Here you can also find the quicktime movie I was talking about in my last post. Have a good evening.
More posts coming soon.

Quicktime movie on website

I am getting into this blogging business or as Sergi is saying into the 'dark side'. Just wanted to share with you how to get a quicktime movie with iweb onto your website and let the movie play as soon as you open the site, get rid off the controls and let it loop. Unfortunately, iweb doesn't allow you to do this within the software so you have to go into the code and modify it a little bit.

iweb saves the movie description in a file called default.js (default might be changed to a name you gave the site) in the default folder. You will find entries for autoplay, loop and controller. Set autoplay to true, loop to true and controller to false. Be aware that there are several autoplay (2), loop (2) and controller (3) definitions in that file. You need to change all of them to the values I just mentioned to achieve the result that the movie is playing automatically, looping and that you don't see the Quicktime controls. Well, that is all I think. Probably, you don't give a 'beeep' for this but in case you do you don't need to search the web for solutions.
Have a good night.

The Weekend Roommate

Finally, this is my first blog posting. I had this blog reserved already for a while but I didn't know what to post or even how to call the blog. Now I decided on the name at least. I called it multilingual blog because the postings are not going to be all in English. My parents and other people I know don't speak English so I thought it is just fair to change the language of the postings. Then, when I saw that even Santi posted his first blog I thought now I really have to get going ;-). Well, while I am writing I am trying to figure out how this blogging thing works.

Anyway, the first blog is about our new weekend roommate, Lexi. I don't really know if this is the right way to spell his name but I think it looks right. Well, Lexi is Carmen's office cat and he spends a lot of weekends in our place lately. Since we share a fair amount of time with our new roommate I thought I'd write a blog about him and share photos and videos (all just to learn how to blog obviously ;-)
Anyway, I have to say that I have been opposed to having a cat at home but then again I have to say that Lexi is not just a cat, he is a character. All of you who have met Lexi already know what I am talking about. For the rest, I am posting some photos and a video so at least you get a first impression. This way I keep this first blog short and don't annoy you too much. It's done! I can't believe it....my website is asleep but at least I posted my first blog.

Lexi posing for the camera. To be beautiful for the lens he first took a shower...surprisingly without being very opposed to it.

And finally he is big into food...(I know it is a simple video and I have to learn a lot before my videos reach the quality of Antonio's or Sergio's videos....check out their blogs (see on the right)).

Next weekend he is going to be back again.
Have a nice evening.
